Building Stronger Communities

Academics in Motions, AIM, was established to help bring together our community. Located in the Robert Hasson Community Center, we are working hard to provide help to those who need it. Whether it be through academics, sports, or just community involvement.

Together, as a community, we can make this a place where we can all come together. A place where we can give back to those who need it, and a place for people who need help can come to find support. We are here, not just for those locally in Northport, but extended to all of West Alabama. Anyone in Bibb County, Fayette County, Greene County, Hale County, Lamar County, Pickens County and Tuscaloosa County is welcome to visit our community center.

  1. My name is Nancy Kelley. Due to health issues I had to retire from nursing in 2016. One day I was scrolling thru FB and saw a request for tutors on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. I immediately was interested and called the number listed. After talking with Woodrow I KNEW that I wanted to be a part of Academics in Motion. The things that are happening here are so vital and needed, but have been lacking. If anyone wants to volunteer in a setting that is sorely needed, please contact Woodrow Washington. Things are being shaken up in a good way, so come be in on the groundwork!!! Thanks Woodrow!
